I'm looking for any tutorials related to website design.

In particular websites with a dark/fantasy-like/gothic/medieval feel to them. I'm really uncreative when it comes down to create something from scratch but if I can get my hands on some decent tutorials, I have a nice base to work from.

Thanks in advance.

I'm mainly looking for ways to create borders and such. Borders, buttons, backgrounds, that sort of thing. Not whole layouts actually.

which software ? if you use PhotoShop then you should try using blending options and brushes Wink also picking the color is in most cases one of the most important parts. dont know any tutorials with this theme but maybe i could try some stuff in photoshop and if i get a good result i can write a tut if you want. i design a lot in photoshop but you usually dont need a medieval theme for a business layout Cheesy

My friend use to make awesome gothic templates but he stopped and got a job totally unrelated to computers x.x

But I use to go to  a forum for tutorials called EGFX II which had a template tutorial.
The disappointing thing  is that EGFX II moved and isn't a graphics forum anymore they only left the forum skins which you can get ideas from
IF forum skins:
http://z13.invisionfree.com/EGFXII/index.php?showforum=155

But because you have been helping me with my BBG I did a bit of searching and found this forum with website template tutorials
http://www.talk-mania.com/forumdisplay.php?s=1ca2d92053f66ce25b948cf42cba1af8&f=3

One that I liked on there was
http://www.talk-mania.com/showthread.php?t=25343

You can just modify the colours to what the tutorial tells you to make it look more gothic/grungey

My other suggestion would to just search google for website template tutorials in the description of what you would want it to look like ;p

Hey

Thanks for your work! I usually check out some of the talk mania tutorials as well, but couldn't find anything decent that could teach me something I'm missing.
The EGFXII link is really nice, but I got a heap of ideas, just not the right skills to do it Sad

Sadly the internet is an everchanging place and all the good tutorials I bookmarked over a year ago are mostly dead, gone or lost.

Currently the importance of such a tutorial has been downgraded anyways.
